Hi Marrsin. Thanks for posting! I have to admit though that I am not actually 100% how our forums are setup, but I am going to see if Theo can shed some light on this for us. I’ll let you know as soon as I know more . Feel free to post anything else up that you come across. ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com

Thanks for posting. Gossamer Forum doesn't generate static pages. We adopted a system of making the dynamic pages appear to be static for easier search-engine crawling. It involves a duplicate set of templates and some "mod_rewrite" commands in your site's .htaccess file. You can find lots of posts about "search engine friendly" templates at the Gossamer Threads discussion board. But if you're actually trying to save server load by having static pages, I don't know of a system to do that with Gossamer. Theo Wiersma Project Manager

thanks alot you guys! yes, i have found threads that talk about the mod_rewrite command via the .htaccess file... but since you guys are CGI gurus i thought that maybe you developed a tool of your own that generates static pages of the forum. much appreciated! Marssin
