New document not being saved Can't Post

I have encountered a problem with the solution. When I create a new article and save it, I receive the "Document Saved" message however the document cannot be found in the directory where it is supposed to be published. In addition, when I try to delete a user, I receive the message that the person has been deleted, however they are still listed.

Please advise what should be done.

Thanks

Bill

Hi Bill

Thanks for posting!

It sounds to me like you are running into a slight permissions problem here. What you’ll need is to check that your data folder and the folder you are trying to publish documents to have “777” or “read/write” permissions. At the same time, double check that all the files inside your data folder also have the same permissions.

Let me know how you make out with that Smile.

Thanks Ross

I eventually figured that out last night. It was the folder in the cgi-bin directory that was causing the problem.

For some reason my hosting company tends to randomly change the permissions to folders on my site. In this case the folder where the pages were to be accessed had the right permissions and that's what threw me.

Thnaks again

Bill
