Can't Post
|

Just bought Doc Builder - seems like a great application but I can't figure out how to display the Document Groups all together on one page so the user can select among them. Is this possible?

Hi virusys. Thanks for posting and welcome to the board! Where were you wanting all the available document groups to be available for your users can see them? Within the program all the document groups are selectable from a drop down menu as you start to create a new document. Your user simply selects which group they want to add a document to and fill out the details. On the published side, it would actually be a little difficult to have more than one document group appear on a page as group gets its own index page, frameset and folder on your server. If you could post up a few more details for me, I can look into what options there have. I look forward to hearing from you . ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com

Thanks Ross, Now that I look at my post again, it is a little unclear - I was talking about the published pages and the desire for an index page showing all the document groups. Clicking on a document group link would then take you to the index page of the specified group of documents. Is this group index page something that I must do manually?

Hi, Thanks for the post and the clarification! DocBuilder is designed to allow you to create different document groups that are separate from each other. Because of this it won't automatically create any kind of index page of your document groups. If you'd like to have an index of these then you'd just want to actually create that manually. I hope this helps and if you have any other questions feel free to let me know! Cheers, Mike Briggs - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com
