last article from selected categories at homepage

Hello,
I all ready have my site up and running : www.enriqueochoareza.com but i need some assistance.
I have 6 categories, but i need to publish the last article from 3 selected categories at homepage. it should look like this:
Homepage
-Category "x"
---Last Article
-Category "y"
---Last Article
-Category "z"
---Last Article
Can AM do this?

Hi Jose,
Thanks for posting! 
If you'd like to include some featured articles on the home page of your site (the most recent few articles from a couple of different categories) then you may want to have a look at this forum post:

This post outlines how you can use some Server Side Includes to display some of your latest Article Manager content on the index page of your site through the use of some Server Side Includes (SSI).

Now i have another issue
the prior asked structure is no longer needed.
Now, i need to show the 10 latest articles from all categories (which i all ready did ) but except 1 category ( image of the week) can you help me on this?
I appreciate your response.

Hi Jose
Thanks for the update!
With Article Manager 1, you actually tell it what categories you want to display instead of telling it which ones not to display.
So what you are going to be doing here is using the search engine to return a list of all your articles for a certain group of categories.
The search would look something like this:
search.cgi?search=1&cat=1,2,3,4,5,6,7
Basically, you just list the categories there that you want to display. Does that make sense? Give it a shot and let me know if you need anymore details .
