Webfeed Generator Output

I want to set up the output of my webfeed generator on my home page so that one particular category (adverts) alternate between the other (community) headlines - ie. Community (headline) Advert (headline) Community (headline) Advert (headline) Community (headline) Advert (headline) and so on. Is this possible ? How would I do this ?

Hi there! Thanks for posting and welcome to the board! Changing the syndicate output like you are trying to do here would actually be quite tricky as there is a lot of JavaScript involved. Had you seen any of the new Article Manager 2.0 we just release? There are so many great new features that I am sure you are going to really like. Specifically, though, there are a couple different (and really easy) to setup ways to have ads appear in between articles in a list. Take a look through the features of Article Manager 2 here: http://www.interactivetools.com/products/articlemanager/ This will give you a great overview of what’s new so you can see everything that upgrading will be able to help you with on your site. Of course, let me know if you needed anymore details on anything . ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com

Hello Ross, Thanks for that - it sounds like Article Manager 2 is exactly what I need. The problem is that I purchased my copy in May this year and cannot afford to buy a second copy !

Hello Ross, I'm having a problem with this. I've uploaded Article Manager 2 as per the installation instructions. The problem is that when I try to open the artman2/admin.cgi file I get a 500 server error. This is on the same domain/server as my existing AM (but in a different folder) and that one is working fine. The path to perl is the same and I've double checked that the file has not been uploaded in binery. I've set the permissions to 755 I can open the 'Upgrade file' at utils/upgradeFromVersion1_41.cgi but can't complete this until the Version 2 is installed. Why won't the listman2/admin.cgi file open ?

I've figured out the problem. Apparantly the web server I am using for my domain does not have the latest version of perl (v 5.0 not version 5.8) I've actually tested this by temporarily uploading the program to another domain that my provider tells me is using perl 5.8 - and it works ! I'm going to have a good look at the new AM2 and then I'll have to move my domain to another server that runs perl 5.8 before I can complete the upgrade.
