Publish Cron or Search include?

I was wondering how I can post a few summaries from a certain category to my home page? I tried several things but since my templates are coded with the website layout, it displays my site inside my site. How can I show 5 summaries using an include tag without the template generating the look twice? I did this once before with publish cron, but I can not figure it out to save my life. I know I created a stripped template called front_page.html and included code on my index page. Please refresh my memory. lol

Hi there Thanks for posting! The publishcron method is actually going to end up be a little on the technical side so I was thinking we could try an alternative option first. Basically, Article Manager is already going to be creating you a list for each category that has the most recent articles from that category. It gets published as a standalone table in it's own file which makes it perfect for including. All you would need to do is figure out which category you wanted to use and then include its headlines file onto your index page. Does that sound like it would work? Let me know and I can go into more detail on setting that up . ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com
