Password protected areas

Hi all, I'm sure that this has been answered elsewhere - but I've searched and can't find one. I would like to use AM to post files into separate folders / categories... easy enough. I also want to password protect those folders, with different user/pass... again - easy enough through the hosting control panel / user permissions etc. But I want my client to be able to create new folders etc, and manage the password allocation for each - preferably through the AM admin. Any suggestions or previous threads I could peruse? Cheers, Tim Forrest Toledoh Enterprises

Hi Tim, Thanks for your email. :) Article Manager isn't designed to manage passwords or folders on the server directly, as that could end up being a security issue. That's something that should be done via the hosting provider directly, as you've already found. If it's a trusted user, you could simply direct them to the hosting providers control panel and they can manage it through there -- you could even add a link from the Article Manager interfaces to the hosting providers control panel to simplify it a little. Let me know if you have any other questions. :) Donna
