I was loading images into an article and they did not appear when published. http://southlandmedia.com.au/artman/publish/join.shtml I then checked that they had indeed been loaded and they were there - in the uploads folder instead of the images folder, however images are directed to the images folder in my directories. No to solve this I assume I can tell uploads to go to my images directory but will this cause grief when i go to upload other documents like pdfs? I did not change any of the directory paths and my images were uploading correctly last week when i did a trial run. Any help ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Correction to my last post. The images were not working last week - I did upload one into an article but I had copied the content (image and all) in so that is why it worked, so maybe the images upload never worked. so now I am wondering - have I done something to mess up my article default file? Thanks again

Ok - further investigations suggest I have done something to mess this up. Because I wanted some of my categories to be "static" pages with no news updates I created a new default and used this to load the article using an include (roughly based on Damon's tutorial on editing non-article content) - I am going to backtrack and see what I could have done to make this go wrong. I think I have really messed up with this static page business!! Any suggestions on what I have done wrong or an easier way to get categories loaded as startic pages would be appreciated.

Hi Margaret. Thanks for the posts . It’s a little tricky to tell exactly where the problem is coming from right now so I am thinking if you are going to backtrack anyway, just start right from the beginning of Damon’s tutorial and go all the way through. Even if you are going to do things a little different in the end, it will be better to make sure it works with default settings. From there, we can both look into how to customize it together. How does that sound? Keep me up to date with how you are making out . One last thing, with the images, Article Manager is actually setup to upload your images to the uploads folder. That images folder you see on the site is actually for the images Article Manager uses to display your interface and the WYSIWYG editor. I look forward to hearing from you . ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com

Thanks Ross - what I am actually thinking now is that I will use a different template for category pages that I want static information on. It should make it a bit more straight forward (I hope) I would load the html into that in the normal way because it is not going to change that often. So longa as it looks just like my other pages and responds to AM when new catergories are created etc it should do what I need (I think) - I will let you know.
