Conditional display of Latest Headlines

I need to have the option to display or hide the Latest Headlines panel on the article page. We have some articles that require more horizontal display area and getting rid of the headlines panel produces that result, but would like to have an "Include Headlines" checkbox (default checked) in the article setup to allow the user to select what type page to use. Is this possible without creating more problems than solutions? I do have the upgrade to AM 2?, but just don't have time to get it converted ... just looking for a quick, clean solution. Thanks! Hi there, Well, it would definitely be a bit easier to do with Artman 2. But, you can do this with Article Manager 1, too. What you'd end up having to do is replacing the headlines with a search query included on your site via an SSI. It would end up looking like this: http://yoursite.com/path/to/search.cgi?search=1&template=headlines/default.html&art_fieldX=Yes ...where art_fieldX refers to the field you've used for "Include Headlines". Give that a try and let me know if that works for you. :) Donna
