goforum - phpbb: Cannot create more than one thread
Can't Post
I am using goforum 1.09 which was sent to me yesterday with phpBB2. It was working fine at first after setting it up yesterday. Now, I am unable to use it. I get the following error messages when I launch "discuss this story" from inside the same article that I was successful with yesterday: "The topic or post you requested does not exist" (Example: Click on the "Discuss this story" link from inside this article http://www.naijapost.com/news/publish/article_885.shtml ) But, when I try to launch "discuss this story" from a different article, I get a different error: Error posting new thread, unable to parse out new thread URL! at /usr/local/etc/httpd/htdocs/naijapost/cgi-bin/artman/exec/goforum.cgi line 809.</i></b> (Example: Click on the "Discuss this story" link from inside this article http://www.naijapost.com/news/publish/article_893.shtml ) Thanks for your help

One thing to check is the article date. It's been a while since I used GoForum but there is a date setting that can cause the problems you described.

Thanks for the reply. I did change the default Timezone in phpbb from GMT to GMT-4 at certain point during the phpBB2 setup. Is that what you meant by "a date setting that can cause problems"? Colin.

I re-installed phpBB2, left most of the default settings unchanged and deleted the old /cgi-bin/artman/data/goforum.dat. Everything is working fine now. Thanks
