Related Article - Same article in results

Hi, I've implemented the related articles so that the related articels are listed after the head lines. Everything works as expected but my problem is I don't want the same article that I am on listed in the related articles. Usually when there are other related articles it's not bad but if it lists only that article it looks kind of awkward. Is there any workaround for this. Thank you, Cellular

Hi cellular, Thanks for posting and welcome to the discussion forum! If you could pass me a few details on how you are including the related articles, I may be able to suggest a work around for excluding the article that you are viewing from the list. Any additional details that you can provide would be great Regards, Cliff Stefanuk - Customer Service Manager support@interactivetools.com

This is what I am using for the related articles.
<!--#include virtual="/artman/exec/search.cgi?template=search/related_articles.html&perpage=10&keyword=$art_field2$&start=1" --> I just have this in palce of the headlines on the right side. art_field2 is the field I am using to store the keywords.

Hi cellular. Thanks for posting up that code! Unfortunetly though, I am actually too sure if you would be able to exclude the current article though. This does seem like an excellent example of how adding Boolean operators in search queries though. What I am going to do is add this as a feature request so that when the developers are looking at the next version of Article Manager (after MySQL) they can try to get this incorporated. I hope this helps. Just let me know if you have anymore questions . ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com
