Interesting New Project

Was just recently brought to my attention that this was possible so I've been playing with it, and rewriting most of it. Project makes it possible so that ANY word on a webpage can be clicked and the user can see what its definition is or see what its linked to. Has alot of possible applications. The main advantage to this method as oppose to others, is that there is no need to execute a script. Its always live and no need to "republish" after adding keywords / terms. Have a look here ->http://www.amscripts.net/mysql/click_something.php All of the words appear to be just text, but if you double click on any term it will show you the term/def or a page that says hey, I didn't define that one. It would be nice if it only allowed you to click the words that had been defined otherwise you'd presumably be constantly referencing a dictionary that could contain hundreds of thousands of terms?

Well eventually it will do that, although there has to be an option in there to click any since some sites want user input via a form as to what words the users would like to be defined. So instead of seeing "word" has not been defined. They would see word has not been defined, and give the user the option to request it to be defined. Its still in the infancy stage right now but some of the options the AJAX is unlimited. It could be useful to have a section on the form where the user can add the definition and then the admin can click to accept it or not. That way it would mean less work, which is never a bad thing.

This is something that I'm definately interested in, especially as my site is a review site for films, books, tv, etc, so this could be useful to create links throughout, so when a film is mentioned, it will be linked through.
