CSS Markup in Content of Articles?

Hi - I've just set up AM today, and am finding the learning curve to customize it all a little daunting - I'm sure I'll survive it though, and it was simplicity itself to actually load it and post an experimental example. Before I burrow into the documentation and figure out how to customize it to fit into my already existing site, I have one simple question: I had assumed that it would be possible to make use of the CSS styles in the rest of the site to, for example, mark something as a top level or second level heading (I had in mind something like a drop down box whose elements could be assigned to a particular site style, so less experienced contributors could use a standard heading without having to use html). But from my initial experiments there seems to be nothing that will allow this to happen, either with the Wysiwig setting, or with the plain setting. Am I missing something obvious, or is this not possible? Regards, Steve.

Hi Steve, Thanks for your post. :) While this isn't something setup by default, your users can certainly change the look & feel of their entries by using the WYSIWYG editor, although this uses plain HTML rather than CSS. If this isn't sufficient... the WYSIWYG editor is an open source application called htmlArea, written in JavaScript. So, if you or someone you know knows JavaScript, you can modify the output of the script as well. You may want to take a look at the htmlArea forums here: http://www.interactivetools.com/iforum/Open_Source_C3/htmlArea_v2.0_F18/ I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. :) Donna
