Associated Articles and Hot Links

A couple ideas I came up with after looking at other news services are the following:
Associated Articles:
This would place articles on the same subject within a category below the article being read. Maybe the top 5 headlines only.
Hot Links:
Hot Links can be broke into three parts:
1. Link bracketed stock symbols to the trading information for that symbol XYZ Corporation [xyz] becomes XYZ Corporation [XYZ]
2. Next linking the company name to associated articles by making XYZ Corporation [xyz] into XYZ Corporation [xyz]. This could be a keyword search.
3. This one I like even more. Take XYZ Corporation [xyz] and make it XYZ Corporation [xyz] and link it to a search on your favorite DB program such as LinkSQL. The link would then take the person to the detail page of that company or perform a search on the DB program showing results.
The key point here is how to automate the link within the body of the article. Even when entered by a third party.
The GoForum mod adds traffic to your forum and ideas like this add traffic to your DB system and Links management system. Thus creating more synergy between applications.
