[ADDON] - Auto Create Username and Password Script

Here's a small script I put together to automize the creation of usernames and passwords. Auto creates the user with "writer" privelages, so nothing will post unless the admin/editor approved it. The script sets the parameters so once someone submits a article your notified by email if you have AM set up to email you for new articles. In this example I haven't added categories for people to post in since its a demo only. http://www.amscripts.net/form2.php Regards, Michael NEW!Logo and Website Design Auto Post Date and Expiration GoForum 2.02 http://www.amscripts.net SKYPE - michael.amscripts

Hi Michael. Thanks for posting! Once again, this looks like another great addon for Article Manager you have here. I am always impressed with how far you are able to extend the program. Keep up the good work. I am already looking forward to whatever your next project is . ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com

Is there anyway this could integrate AM with amember so there would be only one login? Regard's Tommy

Hi Tommy, Sorry didn't see that link before. Is amember open source software? If so it could be easily modded to fit the un/pw script since both are PHP. If not there may be some workarounds for it based on how you wish to integrate it. But I'd really have to look at the source code to get a better understanding of it. No problem Michael, I should have made the link clearer! I don’t think it is open source but they let plugins be made for integration! "how you wish to integrate it" At the moment it takes two logins one for emember then one for those wishing to add an article in AM. My website at the moment is run like this: Person wishing to read articles must register with us using amember this can be done automatically. Person wishing to read and add articles must register with us using amember then we set-up AM with their username and password within 24hrs. There are various categories and each user must choose which category they will add an article, this is done using amember sign-up page. It would be great if they could register with emember pick categories 2 and 4 and automatically be registered with AM and letting them add an article to categories 2 and 4. Does this make any sense? Regard’s Tommy
