Test Bed on XP Pro Laptop for AM Can't Post

Good Morning Everyone!
I need to set up a "test bed" on my Windows XP Pro Laptop so I can fully test out AM template changes prior to uploading it to my Host. Any additional pointers on how to set up AM to run locally would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks!

James,

Nothing different than setting it up on a windows server.

Just make sure you have IIS (or Apache for Windows) and ActivePerl installed on the laptop.

It's been a few years since I have run a webserver on windows, so someone else might have some added comments.

We actually develop on Windows XP (and then test on all the other platforms).

You can install IIS (Microsoft's web server) from Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Add/Remove Windows Components

Then install ActivePerl from www.activestate.com

Then configure it to run with Perl as per the FAQ:
http://aspn.activestate.com//ASPN/Reference/Products/ActivePerl/faq/Windows/ActivePerl-Winfaq6.html#How_do_I_configure_Microsoft_IIS

Hope that helps.
