Internet Explorer - gone crazy

Hi,
Can anyone help me with an IE problem? IE on my main computer just went weird! I haven't changed any settings - this just seemed to happen out of the blue.
What it is doing is not letting me log in to various things such as forums, AM or PP etc. But strangely, I can log in to SOME forums, such as this one.
I have cleared cookies and restored the computer to a few days previously but this has made no difference.
Any ideas?
I would love to abandon IE altogether (I am having to use Netscape to access sites which need a login) but, because the majority of the world use IE, I have to see the net the way my clients do.
Can anyone help me with this???

What version of IE do you have?
You could try clicking the button to clear your cookies, then the one to clear temporary internet files, then rebooting.
Also, make sure you still have cookies enabled under the security tab in IE.
One last thing you could check... Some cookies are set to last for the "browser session" which is until you close your browser, others are set to last to a certain date in the future. Check your computer date/time is set correctly.

Thanks Dave. I tried everything you said - but no luck!
I'm using 6.0, by the way. Weird how it suddenly went this way. No-one else uses this computer except me so I can't even put the blame onto someone else!

Hmm, I'm not really sure. Do you have any idea why some sites work and some don't?

No idea at all, I'm afraid! I'm just learning to live with Netscape but I want my IE back!

Just thought of one more thing to check. What is "Tools -> Internet Options -> Privacy" set to?
