FTP Access / Unhappy with Consulting Can't Post

I have a question about hiring someone and giving them access to my server.

On several occasions including here on this forum, I have paid someone to do something and they did not complete the job. I want to say something but am afraid to because they have my FTP/AM login information.

I also am afraid they might try to hack the site or the server if I spread the word to stay away from someone who promotes services here on the forum.

How do others handle this?

Hi Kim,

In cases like this, I would highly recommend changing your password as soon as possible. That way, nobody can access your site without your say-so.

I hope this helps. :)

1) change your FTP login password ASAP
2) change your AM administration password ASAP and make sure there is no other admin user on the system by going to the users screen

I understand that many people on this forum say they can provide custom services for any interactivetools product, but I recommend that you do the following when you look for third party work other than priority consulting:

1) Do they have a website? Is it informative? Do they sound professional?

2) Do they have their portfolio online? Best way is to contact one of their clients and enquire about their services, you will surely get a reply that matters.

3) Are they helpful and active on this forum? Do they sound like they know what they are doing? Or are they simply mysterious...

Cheers!
