Some criticism about AM

We are using AM on our website www.root.no/pub and have so far only had a few minor rather poor experiences with the system, except one quite big; Updates. Updates, updates, updates. It cant be mentioned enough. The functionality in websites today grow by hundreds of procent each year and to keep up with the demand from the users we need to keep up with what they want. You once made an alpha-release of some kind of an SQL-version which was so terrible it should never have been released even as an alpha-release. You have however later told us (the customers) that you are working on a brand new SQL-based version, which we so far havent seen abit of - and we are therefore - as you might understand - abit sceptical over it. The standard AM-release (with flat-files) has also lacked in updates. Your system is to be honest quite good, but if you want to be in the elite you really need to consider more regular updates - or eventually better keep your customers updated on whats going on. The video-tour you created using that Macromedia-product was on step on the way. The stairs are more than just one step...

Hi affi, Thanks for the feedback, your points are valid. We know this version is taking extra time, but it's because we want to ensure that it is of the highest quality. Because you and a lot of other people are pretty eager for Article Manager SQL, it's our top priority right now. As you know, the Alpha release wasn't good, but we learned a lot from it. It really didn't perform, so we've re-engineered and rewritten a lot of code. Once this version is complete it will be easier for us to regularly release frequent updates for all of our products.
