How do I use the Spell Checker?

I have a new website and I am trying to figure out how to use the spell checker in HTML Area 3.0.
Under options I have checked>Check email before sent....it has not been checking the email.
Can anyone help someone who knows very little!

Hi Jim
Thanks for posting and welcome to the board!
htmlArea has actually been discontinued so we don't support it hear anymore. There is still a whole message board for the old htmlArea posts that you could have a look through:

It's setup as read only but you can search through it to see if anyone else had got the spell checker going. At the same time though, you could take a look through the rest of the site as it's mainly setup as a WYSIWYG editor directory and there tones of alternatives to htmlArea. I am sure you'll be able to find something that works.
How does that sound?
