In JM there is a category field which allows you to ad categories which are listed at the top of the page and are book marked so viewers can jump to different categories. Is there any way I can get this same function in LM. Thanks!

HI jsi, Thanks for the forum post . While Listings Manager doesn't have intrinsic support for categories, there's a workaround that may work for you. Here's how: - Go to Setup Options and add a listing field that stores the category information. You should make the field a dropdown type and you type the following in the field name to populate the dropdown:
Category (,cat A, cat B, cat C)
- Make a note of the field's placeholder (e.g. lfield15). The placeholder information is available in the Setup Listings Fields window (where you added your field).
- Go to each listing and enter the category data.
- Open your listing index template (ie. _publish_listing_index.html).
- Add several links, each link representing a link to a category's listings.
- The URL or link address for a category link is similar to the following:
/path/to/search.cgi?search=1&lfield15_match=Furniture Replace /path/to with the actual path to the search.cgi script, lfield15 with the actual placeholder of the category field, and Furniture with the actual name of the category you want to link to.
That's it! If you have questions about this, or you have other questions please let me know. Cheers, Eric Lau - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com
