Two Nice Features for AM

There are two nice features which may already have been requested, but I would like to submit them again. 1) Digest Feature It would be nice to have a digest module that could be used with a List Manager. If you ever get round to adding a list manager in AM it would be nice to be able to export out the day's headlines or even to export out to an external LM, like DADA mail. This maybe already possible using the Search facility but I don't know where you would start with this! 2) CSS Selector Being able to use the CSS to switch styles in AM. Regards Jonathan

Hi Jonathan, You're right, those would both be very nifty features to have built in -- I'll pass that along to the development team. However, using workarounds, you can achieve both already! 1) Mailing List: What you can do is use a third party mailing list, which will give you all sorts of nifty features. Then, simply create a user specifically for the mailing list, setting the email address as your mailing list address. That way, Article Manager will automatically send emails to this mailing list instead of directly to you or your users. Now, you can have other users sign up to the mailing list in digest format, and have a daily listing sent out. :) 2) CSS Selector: This can be done with a bit of PHP code (or others -- the one I've used in the past was PHP.) Here's a link to a script you can use: http://www.alistapart.com/articles/phpswitch/ This site has some other nifty methods for doing this in other languages as well -- try searching for "css switch" and you'll come up with lots of other results as well. :) I hope this helps!
