Three Suggestions for Article Manager

- I'd like for there to be another user level, called Editor-In-Chief or something. They have all the powers of an Editor, plus they can create new categories. But they can't change the settings like an Administrator. - I'd like for all of the settings in config.ini to be able to be set by the administrator from the user interface. - I'd like to be able to add Previous and Next links on the article pages. They would link to the previous or next article in the category. If it's the first article in the category, the Previous link would go to that category's index page. If it's the last article in the category, the Next Link would go to the next category's index page. Ken Gary ~It's a small world, but I wouldn't want to paint it!

Ken, Thanks for the feedback. Multi-page articles is something that we've discussed from time to time. At the moment, we have no one scheduled to implement but it is a feature that we'd like to tackle at some point. The suggestion that I liked was to have a "page break" tag that you would type into the article's content box - the page would end there. As far as "Editor-in-Chief" - the thought that we could add a "allow setup changes" checkbox to the user control panel for Adminstrators, allowing you to restrict certain admin users from accessing setup options but with full rights to articles and categories. Thanks for the good suggestion, I'm adding it to our request list. I'm not certain what our future intentions are for migrating all settings to the admin interface from the config file. There are some settings that web developers might want obscured from their client's, and some options that are changed once every never. I will document this request as well so we can evaluate it as a possibility. Thanks again, Ken. Theo Wiersma Project Manager

No, I'm not asking for a multi-page article. I just want previous and next links that work from article-to-article so someone can go through the content sequentially. It's really not the same thing as a multi-page article. But I'll look into your suggestion and see how close it comes. I think I'm still going to like my suggestion better because it just uses your articles as they are and doesn't require special client-side coding.
