Suggestions for AM upgrade

I want to add my vote for assigning multiple categories in AM when entering articles and when searching for archived articles. Seems like users have been posting this request for several years now. I would also like to see the option for setting an expiry date on newly published articles so that they would be automatically removed from the main page once the expiry date has passed. I confess I don't even own AM yet, so maybe my vote should not count. Frankly, I am having difficulty justifying the purchase of AM until some of these simple, yet user-friendly, options have been added. Another program I'm considering (ArticleLive from Interspire) includes both of these options. :>)bob R.L. (Bob) Nielsen Purdue University

Hi Bob. Thanks for posting your suggestions! Everyone’s vote counts so I’ll add your name to the list of people requesting this feature. I realize that there has been a lag in the updates recently. I assure you though that the developers are working as hard as they can on the latest version of Article Manager which will introduce MySQL support. This is a very substantial upgrade so they are making sure that everything works perfectly before it’s released. Once they have taken care of this, they will be able to address other feature requests. I hope this helps. If you have anymore feature requests or questions, don’t hesitate to let me know . ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com

Hi abstractj. Thanks for posting and welcome to the board! The developers are focusing all their efforts on getting the MySQL version of Article Manager ready to go. While there isn’t a specific date set for release yet, once there is, it will be fairly difficult to miss . Just keep checking back on the site from time to time. You could also sign up to our newsletter on the main page as we will definitely be sending one out when a release is set. I hope this helps. If you have anymore questions, don’t hesitate to let me know . ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com
