Posting to Multiple Categories

I know this has already been said, but my organization is a bit miffed that we can't post to multiple categories and sub-categories. This is especially problematic because our articles often span several of the categories we cover. I can't even double post right now because we have a main news page that contains all articles that have been posted - ie. the highest level category - and double posting would make articles appear twice. So we desperately need the ability to post some articles to more than one category or sub-category. I envision a second category box just like the first one, but if left blank, the article is not posted in another category. By the way, when is Article Manager 2.0 set to be released?
