News Manager template article page

It would be good to be able to create a layout within the News Manager control for subsequent articles. I'm not talking about the actual article html file but if the user creates a new article and formats tables, etc. in the WYSIWYG boxes it would be good to be able to pull this for the next article without having to input this each time.

Hi Annie, Thanks for your suggestion. For a little more control over the published file, without all the extra work you describe, you might want to take a look at Article Manager. It has multiple article fields so that you could simply setup the layout so that different fields populated different sections of the page. Let me know if that's an option or not -- I hope this helps! :) Donna

Thanks Donna, I couldn't really justify Article Manager for this project. I'm using NM to list a number of products and I need to lay the price and Add to Cart code out in a table so that it displays as I want (see sample at http://www.noadded.co.uk/catalogue/publish/index.html). Also, will NM be updated to utilize the new WYSIWYG toolbar available in PP because, as things stand, my client is going to have to dip into the html to delete the table border and center the table if they wish? This is in addition to adding the Add to Cart code which is fair enough.

Hi Annie, Thanks for the post and the additional details! As Donna had mentioned, we do have a couple of other products that would work for something like this (Article Manager or Listings Manager) but if you're hoping to continue using News Manager then the same method you're using through the WYSIWYG editor would still be the best method. Currently our developers are hard at working on an upgrade to our Article Manager product so we're not actually looking at upgrading News Manager's WYSIWYG editor right now. I hope this answers your questions and if you have any others, just let me know! Cheers, Mike Briggs - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com
