Re: [MikeF] LM-Mysql-IDX [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Mike

Thanks for posting!

IDX integration is something on our feature request list already so I'll be adding your name to the list with everyone else.

Was there anything else I can add for you while I am at it? Let me know and we'll get it on there as well Smile.

Re: [ross] LM-Mysql-IDX [In reply to] Can't Post

Personally I would prefer a RETS like service over a typical IDX service. Both are methods by which a website can pull information from a MLS server and display it on the website. IDX typically requires framing of the information from another server on a website. This would be a useful service for others if you are setting up your Realty Manager as an MLS system and want to allow others to display the information. Technically you can do this now by generating templates and providing people links that can be framed into their site.

A RETS system allows the website to pull the information from the MLS server, store it in your own database and then display it on the website where the website designer has total control of the layout and design of the page. This would be nice as we already have the ability to play with pages through Realty Manager. It would be awesome if this software could contact the MLS servers and pull the information for us on a preset interval.

If you set this up, you might consider coding it so that customers could set up more than one RETS connection as many brokerages are now members of more than one MLS.

Hi cclinton,

Thanks for the excellent suggestions!

This has been added to our feature request list and will be something that is considered when looking into the possibilities of IDX support. :)

Hi Mike,

Not at the moment. Our development resources are currently being concentrated elsewhere. :)
