Article manager install form MySQL request

When you go to fill out the form for the free install for the article manger it would be nice if it ask if you want an MySQL database. Yesterday I filled out the form a friend and business partner to help her started using your content managers. Which I had recommended your Article Mangers to her. I fill outed the form knowing something did not look right but I could not put my finger on it. What is was is there is nothing about installing using a MySQL database which I wish it had been done. I could have set up the database if there would have been something on the form to give the install the information needed. Or even paid a few extra bucks to get install with the MySQL database. I really think it would be nice if your install form asked about the MySQL before installing. Side Note: I did make some comments in the comment section how I wanted the program installed in the root directory instead of a folder. The installer just tossed us an email with a link and install RIGHT THEN before we even had time to read the email, the link or the address our install comment. It would be nice to give a customer a changes to reply before moving forward when a comment is made. I have this http://www.interactivetools.com/docs/doc.cgi?/articlemanager2/tutorials/artman2_as_main_page.html but I don't understand that! I guess we will just make an opening page or a redirect. However it would have been nice to have choice before the program was installed in a folder because folder names in the urls do matter on search engine optimizing. Now I have a program install in a directory I did not want it in and have to figure out to fix that and no MySQL database. I suggest you make your free install to allow us more information exchange on what the customer wants. At least ask, do you want a MySQL database! Just my 2 cents

Hi Kimber, By default, Article Manager 2 does not use a MySQL database. However, it's a cinch to switch it over at any time via the Admin section, under "Database Options". Let us know if you need a hand getting that switched over. If you'd like us to move the installation to a different directory, by all means let us know! Feel free to reply to your original installation email, and we can move things around for you. :) Donna
