Article Manager: Output of RSS and XML

I'd really like to syndicate all of the news that I'm licensing and running through my version of Article Manager. If there was a way that you could add a check box to the CREATE ARTICLE area that simply says "Syndicate This Story".....and from the that point the article would right itself to XML and RSS formats (placed chronologically with the most recent story first in the list and if you place an older date in the story the story would be placed in the right place in the file). The admin panel should also be able to set - the max number of feeds to output (again this ties into the date -- if I wanted to always syndicate my latest 10 articles and other items were also checked but older than 10 days then they wouldnt apply any longer) - to choose between headlines or headlines and story snippet Right now im using a manual program and its very tedious -- Id very much like to see this automated in the way described above in a future version. This is extremely important for generating traffic for those sites with both original and professional news. ***************The reason that i'd like to have the checkbox is because I wouldnt want to syndicate everything. **************** Here is a very recent article that talks about how this is heating up for companies that provide news (its an absolute must have to generate extra traffic if you are providing news): http://www.mediapost.com/dtls_dsp_news.cfm?newsId=260769 The headline code grabber you have is good too -- but this would be the missing link to really get our content syndicated and to make it headache free Thanks for this forum

Hi RoaryW, Thanks for your post! :) I have to agree with you, RSS support would be a useful feature. We've had a number of requests for it. While we're working hard at mySQL support, I'll be sure to put in another vote for RSS support. As with any feature requests I can't make any guarantees, but when the time comes to release the next major version of Article Manager (after mySQL) we'll take a close look at the most popular features. If you have any other questions please let me know. Luke Holzken Product Development
