ArtMan Feature Requests/Suggestions

Now that I've worked on Article Manager for several sites and begun to 'find my feet', I thought I'd offer up a couple of suggestions (couldn't find any previous reference to these in the forum, so hopefully they're not old territory!). 1. I've found that creating sub-categories can become a bit 'mind numbing' when there are a lot of Parent Categories, notably so when it gets to creating levels 3 and 4! What would make life a whole lot easier is if the category creation page could update to show sub-levels of the chosen parent category ... e.g Category Name = "......." Parent Category = [pulldown list showing ONLY Level 1 Categories] Once Level 1 category is selected a new pulldown appears below showing only the level 2 categories relative to the Parent Category Once Level 2 category is selected a new pulldown appears below showing only the level 3 categories relative to the level 2 category etc etc etc! If no further sub-categories are available, then no further pulldowns appear This would make it a whole lot easier to select parent categories 2. Custom Folders Every time I create a sub-category I have to manually add the custom folders which can be a bit painstaking! I may be wrong, but logic tells me that if you've set up a custom folder for a parent category, then any sub-categories would either use the same custom folders or folders next 'within' the custom folder. How about sub-categories inheriting the settings of the parent category?? Keep up the good work guys Kerry Kerry

I like both of these suggestions. Another suggestion is to be able to "clone" a category (or sub-category) so it has the same settings as another category -- of course then it would let you rename the category... Thanks, Terri Z
