We would love to have a verison of article manager that could hold nested categories eg: +Local News | ++World news || |+-Europe || |+-America | +Events possible?

Would you want it to hide/show category "branches" as the user clicked on the various top level categories and down through the tree? Or would it show all the categories at one but with the sub categories nested under the parent categories? Dave Edis - Senior Developer interactivetools.com

I've been mulling over a workaround that is a bit more dynamic that would work with the existing system. Would appricate any thoughts you may have (i.e. reasons why it would not work) before I get coding it. Here we go: 1. rename all the categories, prefixing them with <X> where X is the menu category number. EG: <1> , <1.1> , <1.2> , <2> , <2.1> , <2.1.1> etc. 2. edit the toolbar template to include some javacript that would read off the menu category numbers and reorganise and display the categories in an expandable menu tree on the fly. 3. because the menu item numbers are in angle brackets they should be ignored by browsers and therefore will not effect the category names displayed on article pages. Using this method you should still be able to create new categories when you want without having to rewrite a static toolbar! sound resonable?
