AM Suggestion: Image management

In a lot of our articles we use the same images over and over.
Instead of uploading the image each time and storing multiple copies on the server could ther be a function to browse images already uploaded and reference them using image place holders?

We are looking into the possibility of having images reused. Some of the issues involved with that is: - who is the images available to
- who can add and who can delete images
- requires a interface that would allow users easily manage and chose images
What some users are currently doing is giving their writers access to view the uploads directory so they have the option to enter the direct image or file path into their article with either an image source tag or link to a file.
