AM: Placeholders

Hi, Currently we have placeholders for Content & Summary. Could you consider adding 'Title', and perhaps 'category' to that list. We have many guest writers, who need a helping hand - so we have added additional guidance to these two tags - but at the moment it means altering two templates. Thanks.

There are placeholders already for the article's title and category: $art_name$ is the article's title $cat_name$ is the article's category Will those placeholders do what you need? /Dave Lo

Sorry - what I meant was in the article editor screen, there are placeholders that are set up under the admin options for Summary & Content - in otherwords, once you change the wording under admin, the words change in the article manager screen for both writer and editor - yet to change the wording for the article title, you have to edit two templates. We find that we have to alter the wording of all three for our guest writers, who often leave the headline box blank - maybe this is because by default it is seperate from the summary & content boxes - perhaps these could be grouped together by default in the template. Just a thought - thanks.

No probs - I should have realised - that would certainly help - but in the meantime I have move the headline box to above the summary box, and put some html into the templates. It just seemed daft that one could edit the summary & content word tags from the damin screen, but the headline one has to be done from the templates. Ironically I did all the above - and guess what happened on the first guest submission - yes it was BLANK!! So yes making it compusory, along weith the summary would help greatly. Perhaps there should be a box to tick to make certain fields compulsory?
