1. Article Manager NOW SUPPORTS SUBCATEGORIES
--------------------------------------------------
We've just released Article Manager 1.38, which now supports subcategories. The Category Editor allows you to create parent categories that can nest several levels of subcategories.
Need to break down your content? Here's an example of how you might structure your categories:
Sports (Parent Category)
- Basketball (Subcategory- level 1)
- Baseball
- Hockey
- Olympics
- Summer Games (Subcategory - level 2)
- Winter Games
- Tennis
Subcategories deliver two major benefits:
BETTER ORGANIZATION AND CONTROL
Organize your articles just like large, corporate news sites
SAVE TIME AND MONEY
Create subcategories in seconds, saving you valuable time (no more hard-coding).
Some other changes we've also included in this release are:
- Server side script parsing now compatible with publishing to an IP address on UNIX servers
- Default templates now include a single external style sheet for ease of updating
- New visual style for default templates (original style available with the "classic.css" style sheet)
- The htmlArea folder has been renamed to wysiwyg

4. DONNA 'IS' SUPPORT

If you call our offices and press 2 for support, the phone is frequently answered by a pleasant sounding female voice. "interactivetools, this is Donna speaking!" One of the more frequent things she hears is "Can you transfer me to support?" At first, she thought this happened to everyone, until she checked with the rest of the support staff (all guys), and sure enough, it's just her. It seems that people assume that she's... a receptionist?
We assure you, Donna IS support! She already takes a little flak for being schooled in Battlefield 1942 by "Apocalypse Cow", but at the end of the day she'll match her tech skills against any of the other support staff. After all, she IS the fastest typer in the office (100+ wpm). Check out the number of first class forums posts!! She's positively prolific.
So when you call in and press 2 for support, be assured that the friendly woman answering the phone can indeed answer your questions just as well as the rest of the guys on the team! :)
