Program Message - Unknown host: Unknown error

Hi Preview was working and now I get an error message: Program Message Unknown host: Unknown error at e:\domains\ptmgxtra.co.za\wwwroot\cgi-bin\artman\exec\admin.cgi line 2684. The line no is always the same no matter which article I try. Article updates do work. I looked at other posts and tried switching to include template but although I could see the article there were no includes at all - AM's or my own txt file includes. My test page is at http://www.ptmgxtra.co.za/artman/publish/article_2.shtml Am includes are as per normal except for the top one for which I created a txt file in the publish folder (sub folder = myincludes) Used the following code change to the artcile template to use my include for the top: <table border=0 cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0 width=770 class="bg_header"><tr> <td> <!--#include file="myincludes/patop.txt"--> </td></tr></table> According to my agreement with ISP SSIs are allowed but I have asked them to confirm this is still so especially as this function was working. Any ideas? Regards Tony Randell

Hi Tony. Thanks for posting! It’s definitely strange that your preview would just stop working. Article Manager won’t have changed anything so for now, I am not 100% what has happened. The best thing to do here is if you could send me some FTP details through a support request so I can take a closer look: https://www.interactivetools.com/support/email_support.cgi I look forward to hearing from you . ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com

Hi Ross, I dont understand how it stopped working either - my ISP says that SSI is standard on .shmtl and .shtm pages - I have AM setup for .shtml pages. I only have two pages that I am using to familiarise myself with the templates so maybe it's to do with constant cahnges to the css and templates that I have benn making? Still vaguely worrying though? BUT - I read the previous post on template includes incorrectly and forgot to add the extra include statement - got it all running today. I guess I should just ignore this error as the bypass works - or will this give me problems with future compatibilty in new AM versions? Regards Tony Randell

Hi again Tony. There shouldn’t be any compatibility problems down the road as the work around method you are using is actually the alternative to the problem and something we specifically setup for situations like the one you were in. Keep me up to date with how you are making out . ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com
