Currently even your main site requires a password. This is the setup of your domain on the server. Have your ISP check this out. They should be able to fix it for you. Then you wont need it to access your published articles as well. Hope that helps! Brian

If you rename the index.shtml in the root to index.html can you see it then? If so it's likely something to do with how the web server is setup to handle shtml files. Let me know if renaming the index file to html lets you access the web root. Dave Edis - Senior Developer interactivetools.com

Dear sir: Thanks for your information. But i checked with ISP provider, there said there don't have any password protection for this folder, but there haven't check the *.shtml yet (but i don't think there have any problem with *.shtml configuration). I try to published to web root and publish folder, i try to display the page with full name--index.shtml.but there show webroot need password to get display, and publish folder no need...;( I'm confuse...;( I try to install again, if still can't working, i'll ask for free installation... Thanks very much, i'm urgen for this...;)))

I think it may be a problem with how your server is setup to handle .shtml files. The easy way to test this is rename the index.shtml file in your webroot to be index.html and then try and view it. If it lets you view it without asking for a password, it likely means that .shtml files aren't setup properly. I had a Windows NT server a long time ago that had a similar problem, .shtml files in the root would ask for a password. I was able to resolve it my changing the server configuration a little bit.
