Great to see this, but just one question Can't Post

I like the look of this and will definately get it, just one question though, how can it be used with Article Manager (due to the pages all being .shtml).

My site will have lots of various e-mails on it, so this is just what I need.

Great to see a company that works on feedback.

Hi Joe!

You can use PHP with Article Manager -- only two things necessary to do this:

1 - change the extension of published pages to .php (including the "temporary file extension" in General Settings and the Publish File Extension in Server Settings).
2 - change all of the SSI includes to PHP includes.

That's it! Spambot Email Protector should work just fine once you've switched Article Manager over to publishing PHP files. :)

Im just catching up with this product (Spambot Email Protector) and use Article Manager 2 with shtml extensions.

Is there a way of keeping the shtml extensions and using SEP without chaning all the pages to php

Hi Perth,

The easiest method would be to switch to using PHP includes, but then use an htaccess file to tell your server to parse .shtml files for PHP instead. (You'll want to check with your hosting provider to make sure they allow this -- the vast majority should have no problem.)

Would that work for you?

Hi there,

Take a look at this post for the .htaccess code. Or, contact your hosting provider for details (ie, to make sure they allow it!) :)
