Installing on a different server to the main web site Can't Post
Is it possible to install Search on one server and have it search a web site on a different server? I don't want to do anything illegal. The web site that I want to search is on a server without a cgi bin but I have other web space with a cgi bin where I could install the program.

Search Engine can only search files located on the server that it's installed on, so you won't be able to use it to search for files on a separate web server. The software needs to be able to access files locally in order to perform searches, which is why it can't be run from a separate server.
