administrator access Can't Post

There does not appear to be a admin user how can I set one up in the user.dat.cgi script

there is

#!/usr/bin/perl
print"Content-type: text/html\n\n<html></html>";
__END__
1¡usr¡usr¡password¡1¡22¡2005¡1¡22¡2010¡22 Jan 2010¡1¡¡This is usr admin account to ad, remove or change listings.¡
2¡other user¡other¡password¡5¡3¡2006¡5¡3¡2007¡3 May 2007¡1¡¡¡

If this is not possible how can I add a mailto: in a field

I have a link field but the data keeps on getting replaced with html comments.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi Simon,

I'm not quite sure I understand what you need here - did the administrator account somehow get deleted from your system? Are you wondering how to restore that?

With some more information we should be able to help you out. Smile

Re: [Jake] administrator access [In reply to] Can't Post

I guess it got deleted as there are only two login accounts and neither give access to the admin features. However the real issue is to be able to put an email address in the link feild without it being removed.

btw the version is v1.24

Hi Simon,

Thanks for the email!

For Page Publisher you'll actually find that the administrator user account is in the setup.dat.cgi file. I'd suggest having a look here and you should find your admin account details.

Also, if you can provide me with any other details regarding the email link issue, and what seems to be happening, I'll have a look at that for you.

Thanks! Smile

Thank got in

the actual issue is that

in the html you see

<!-- publish type="link" --><a href="email.php?email=Sascha" >Email Me Now </a><!-- /publish -->

but the update shows

name : Email Me Now

and the link: is blank

it updates correctly when changed but if you update the page without putting the link back in it is removed

Hi simonmay,

Thanks for your reply!

Would you mind submitting a second-level support request for this? I think I understand the issue, but it's going to be tough to troubleshoot without having access to both Page Publisher itself as well as the page this tag is used on. You can submit your request here:

http://www.interactivetools.com/support/

I look forward to hearing from you. Smile
