Upload image_select capabilities Can't Post

Hello All!

We are trying to use the image_select PML to upload reports from our software to the web site that uses Page Publisher.

I successfully set up the system to point to another directory than the default (thanks to the earlier posting!!). Now I am trying to upload a .PDF file and it is telling me that a PDF is not a supported file type.

Two questions:

1) Why are PDF's not allowable?

2) Any suggestions to be able to upload PDF files?

Some of the reports we want to put on the site are in this format (with only "text" as the alternative). It would be fantastic if we can get this to work.

Thanks for any and all responses!

Sean

Hi Sean,

Thanks for posting!

All of the file types that Page Publisher is allowed to handle can be set up under "Setup Options". You'll want to add "pdf" to the "Accepted upload extensions" section here.

Give this a try and let us know if you need anything else. Smile

Hey Jake!

Thanks for the info -- I already have gif, jpg, jpeg, and pdf as acceptable extensions. Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks again!

Hi Sean,

Thanks for your reply!

You can't actually upload PDF files through the image_select tag, since these aren't images. If you need to upload PDF files you'll want to use the file_select tag.

Let us know if you have any other questions. Smile
