RELATIVE upload URLs? Can't Post
Hi all - curveball for you. How do I get Page Publisher to use RELATIVE image URLs?

At the minute it keeps filling in the site address at the start of the image tag, and doesn't like using a relative path for Upload URL.

Tell you why I need this. I have a lovely shiny server with lots of shiny stuff on it. Users need access at a VERY LOW LEVEL to update certain parts of certain pages, but there are other things on there that could be easily broken. So what I was planning to do was let them build the pages in PagePub on a development server, then fire them across using CRON and include them.

I can change the uploads URL to the destination server, which works for me, but then they can't preview the pages properly. Destination server is also just a CDN, so doesn't run cgi.

Any ideas?

At the moment, I'm using timed (CRON) FTP push jobs to send the images up to the server at regular intervals.

Is there a better way of sending these?

Hmm. Well, because the directories are going to be different from the Page Publisher dir vs. the actual page itself, there's no real solution that will work and still show the preview image in the back end. The best that I could come up with is uploading the image via Page Publisher's image select PML tag, then adding the image via the WYSIWYG editor, where you can specify the path...

...but this gives the problem of the preview image not working in the WYSIWYG, as well as the user having to enter the correct path to the image.
