I tried your demo, nice. I have a site that I want to give people access to update only certain files. I am using Artcile Manager, but I see this can be handy because I can create the template, and just use an "include" with the page publisher so they do nto need HTML and they cannot screw up the res tof the page.

What I am looking for is the appility to upload PDF via the page publish and multiple files at a like in Art Man, BUT i would like to the user to be able to include the link to the file were they want on the page.

Is that possible?

Also, what I see, I need to create the page for users to be able to upload content, is that correct? If so, that is good, I do not want them to create a random page. I want to limit them on content.

Hi,

Thanks for the post!

If I understand correctly you would like to use and include to display Page Publsiher managed pages inside your Article Manager website. These Page Publisher pages would basically be a page with a series of file upload PML tags so that all the user could do is add/remove the PDF files they have uploaded inside of Page Publisher.

Does this sound like what you are trying to set-up? If so you could set-up your Article Manager and Page Publisher installations to work this way. All you would be doing is adding and SSI to your Article template that will pull in the Page Publisher created page. :)

Sorta, but I do not want the Page Publisher in Artman. I was asking if there is a way to include multple PDF/DOC files in one Page Publisher file. We have different regions in our state would like to update their own page. I do all the major layout work in php (using dreamweaver). I would like them to be able to give them access to only PART of their page. So what I was thinking is that I have my template, and embed a page publisher file into my page (using php include tags). This way they cannot mess with my page and have full access over there stuff. They also need to be able to load multiple pdf and doc files in the page.

I would like them to update Region 2 Conference Information and upload their files that they need (and embed the file at the location they see fit, much like a placeholder you us in Artman) and the stuff liek the header, links, and news headlines would all stay under my control.

Make more sense?

Hi there.

Thanks for clearing that all up. From the sounds of it here, Page Publisher is going to be a great fit for you site as it's actually specifically setup to let you setup specific sections of your page that can be edited.

You basically just outline the areas on your page that need to be updated and that's all that will be. The rest of your page including the general layout, etc will be left as it is so you don't need to worry about things changing around.

You'll even be able to let them upload and attach files to the page so I think it's going to cover everything quite nicely.
