New to Page Publisher...what to expect? Can't Post

I've used Realtor Manager but not Page Publisher. (I've also used, excuse me...Contribute). I am assuming it is out of the box ready, except for some page coding I need to do to designate what is editable and what is not and some admin setup. My client wants to be able to edit simple text, link to and upload pdf files and maybe some images. How do pdf's and images upload? Size, quantity, file structure? I am quoting a job and need to know what to expect with page publisher. Can anyone give me some insight?

Thanks,
Webmac

Hi Webmac,

Good to hear from you again.

Page Publisher has been designed so that it can be used on any website and developing your web pages with Page Publisher is very quick and easy. You tell the Page Publisher which pages you want to edit and then you add some simple PML (Publish Markup Language) tags to your html pages to determine exactly what is editable on those pages. You can get more information about these tags here:

http://www.interactivetools.com/docs/doc.cgi?/pagepublisher/tutorial_2.html

If you try out our online demo, take a look at the "Calendar of Events" page (in the Admin Program, click "Update" by the Calendar of Events). There is an selection pull down called "Calendar (File Select)". Underneath the pull down, there is an "add" and "remove" button which you use to add any file type, either from your desktop or as a reference to the full URL of the file that is already online. I've created your very own demo for you here so you can try it here:

http://demo2.interactivetools.com/current/pp/731/389/index.html

If you click on the big #1 to update pages using the Admin Program, then update the Calendar of Events page you can see this in action at the very bottom of the page. This can be customized so that you can upload any files, from PDF, XLS, or even .ZIP files.

Your demo will be active for 30 days so you can return to your demo at any time and play around with it for an entire month. If you find anything in the demo that isn't quite clear, feel free to send an email or give us a call, I'm always happy to help or give a guided tour.
