Moved to new server Can't Post

Crazy We recently moved a couple of sites that use Page Publisher to new servers- which means of course, new setup, new ftp login info, etc. Apparently, we did not know you had to activate the CGI/Perl scripting-- we have since done that. I noticed that on this server, there is a separate cgi-bin directory. I do have a point in all this info, really...
Here's the issue: We can't get Page Publisher to work at all now.
Here are a few things I tried: Since there is a separate cgi-bin, I moved the appropriate files (following PP documentation) to there and that did not help. I tried to change the path in the directory.cgi file, but so far that hasn't worked either. I also changed the permissions for the files in the pp/data folder as well as pp.cgi, directory.cgi. and config.ini--basically I tried to change as much as I could to "777"- didn't work, though. Is there another configuration file I need to edit? I even thought about a reinstall, but my client has lots of pages and tons of images I would not like to lose, not to mention the fact that I had you guys install it originally. I have checked on the server and CGI/Perl is enabled. At this point, any direction or info you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Are you still supporting Page Publisher? I did not push my client to upgrade at the time because they are a very limited non-profit organization.

Hi there!

Take a look at the Page Publisher installation documentation here:

http://interactivetools.com/docs/doc.cgi?/pagepublisher/gettingstarted.html

This will go over which folders need to go into the cgi-bin, and which can go in the regular web root. You'll also want to make sure that the permissions are set correctly -- 777 set to everything won't work, there are a few different files that need different permissions.

We definitely still support all of our software -- when you purchased, you were promised lifetime support, and you can definitely get it. :) If you're still having trouble getting your installation to work, feel free to fill in a support request and we can take a look at your installation for you:

Smile Thanks to you all- I got that Page Publisher up and running. Unfortunately, I am having the same issues with another client that has both Page Publisher AND Listings Manager- it has been a while since the other site was fixed and I have forgotten all the steps it took-- I tried setting the file permissions on the server (again) but I don't know if it is the FTP software I am using or what- I will set it but it does not save my changes. Could someone guide me in the right direction- this client has real estate listings he needs to add asap. Thanks
