Max Upload Size Can't Post

Hi all!

We use page publisher and think its great. One of our clients though would like the ability to upload pdfs. I've worked out how to do this but wondered is there any limitations to the file size they can add? I've set the admin panel option to 'no limit' however, would something in the coding or my hosting company create a max limit? I'm aware PHP has this in the ini file but wondered if this applied to page publisher code albeit in another language?

Thanks in advanced,

jarvis

Re: [jarvis] Max Upload Size [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Jarvis,

Thanks for your email.

Your hosting company can definitely set a maximum, although that's fairly rare. More often than not, if you're running into problems uploading a large file via a script like Page Publisher, you're actually timing out. HTTP really isn't designed for uploading large files. Your server most likely has a timeout setting for how long each process can last before it gets shut down.

Still, that's usually set to be fairly long, which should allow some pretty substantial files to be uploaded. Where are you running into trouble?
