Do published pages need to be in /pp/ directory? Can't Post

Hello,

I am a new user of Page Publisher and Article Manager. To begin with, I am using PP to create a comprehensive Help file for my site and an ingredients list for the products we promote on the site.

I am wondering if the pages that have the PP tags need to be kept in the /PP/ directory or not. Can I keep the files in a directory outside of the /PP/ directory or can I create separate directories within the /PP/ directory in which to store the pages? Like /pp/help/ etc.

Also, I use a replication script on my site and each affiliate gets their own subdomain name. Each page that is replicated has a template page that is dynamically generated for each affiliate site. The template pages are in the main / directory. Could PP work on these pages also?

Also,.. Do the images for the pages that PP edits need to be in the /pp/images/ directory or can they be in the standard images directory? Or if the images are editable from PP do they then need to be in the /pp/images/ directory? Follow??

Thanks for a great program! I almost had a cgi programmer create me a program like this for what I am using it for. Thank God I found you guys first!

Pages that you are updating with Page Publisher don't have to be in /PP/ directory but can be anywhere on your site. Only thing to keep in mind is that any page on your site that you will be updating with Page Publisher will need to have Writable permissions set so that Page Publisher can update the file.

If the template pages you want to update with Page Publisher are static pages, then there shouldn't be any problem. To be sure, the easiest way is to test one of the template pages.

For images, you can place them in any directory you choose. When updating a page with Page Publisher and choosing an image to use, all that needs to be entered is the image source.

I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
