several news pages on one site Can't Post

I am working on a web site that has 5 departments. Each one wants to post current news in each dept.'s section of the web site. There also is a need to post general news off the main home page, which is where NM will work perfect. Any thoughts about running 6 NMs?

Hi MayDay!

Thanks for your post. :)

Well, you could definitely go that route and have 6 News Managers. This would simply require that each News Manager be installed in it's own directory, and they'd all run happily like that.

However, have you considered Article Manager instead? This might save you some trouble (not to mention over $300!) Article Manager supports categories, so each department could have its own category, and you could pull in the category index page for each section.

Let me know if this works for you, or if you have any other questions or concerns. :)

Actually, I think that Page Publisher or Doc Builder might also do the job. I didn't look close at these before, but they may serve the purpose, depending on the features wanted. What do you think?

Hi MayDay,

Page Publisher would certainly work if you had a page already created and just wanted to be able to make changes to it. Page Publisher doesn't create pages itself, though.

DocBuilder likely wouldn't be suitable, as it's more laid out for documentation rather than news.

I hope this helps. :)
