Thanks works perfectly Can't Post
Just wanted to let you know:

purchased and downloaded News manager the other week. Installed it on client's site...couple of tweaks needed, but mainly correcting my typing and the thing was up and running.

We are using it to put the news briefs up on the right hand column on the front page. This is all css controlled so the only items in my _index.html template are $name$ and $summary$ and I've used $ufile_image$ which includes a picture in a frame where required.
