Need to move my install to a new server... Can't Post

We are migrating our sites over to a new web server and we use a number of your programs (site search, NM, JM, Artman, etc.) and I need to know the specific things I need to do in order to move the install of these programs over to the new server. What files do I need to update with new paths?

Hi,

Thanks for the post!

Sorry for the delay on this post, looks like this message was missed somehow.

I will be happy to go over the details for moving the software for with you! The biggest thing to remember when moving the software over is to first create back-ups of your /data/ and /templates/ directories. After you have backed up these files login to your new server and re-install fresh copies of the software, if you don't have a fresh copy you can download fresh copies of your software here:

http://www.interactivetools.com/upgrade/

after installing these fresh copies simply replace your /templates/ and /data/ directories with the back-up you had created. You will also want to look through your templates file to be sure that all your links are pointing in the correct spot!

This is a good place to start from mrtopher, if you have any other questions please feel free to ask!
