Installation Error Can't Post

Hello.

I'm trying to get News Manager to work and I can't.

I keep getting the error below. I've checked the file permissions, they are all set correctly. The Pearl path is correct, no problem there. CGI is set up and working. I've tried changing the file extention to .pl, that didn't work either. I'm not sure what else to do, any help would be great.

Thanks.

Here's the error .....

Re: [leftcoast] Installation Error [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi leftcoast,

Thanks for posting.

News Manager will just need a standard installation of Perl to run, and I've included some test "hello world" scripts for you

These scripts check to see that Perl is installed properly and should just output the words "Hello World" when run through a web browser. Like this:

http://www.yoursite.com/cgi-bin/nm/hello.cgi
http://www.yoursite.com/cgi-bin/nm/hello.pl

If you get your server administrator to see they could get these test scripts to run and leave them running, you could then use them as a reference point and continue with the installation.

Let me know if you need any more details Smile
